Studying at the local University, Vanessa graduated with a degree in languages and post grad in International Marketing. For the last ten years she has worked for several different organizations throughout Canada and Europe ranging from; the private sector, government and most recently, the United Nations in Rome, Italy.
She is currently living in the North Coast of the Dominican Republic where she is helping to manage her family’s restaurant called Pasta e Vino. She has also taken on a new adventure of her own and opened a small coffee shop adjacent to the restaurant. In her spare time Vanessa’s taken up the local water sports in her area such as kite surfing, SUP and surfing.
Traveling is one of Vanessa’s great passions, and Vanessa says she is blessed to have seen and experienced many countries in the world. She understands that each place in the world is unique and filled with rich stories to share. She has just finished writing her first book “Flavor Legacy from FLAVIA” – a tribute to her late Italian grandmother’s passion for cooking, and wishes to continue to develop her skills and passion of writing and photography.
