Your Lake Vacation at Lake of the Ozarks
By Deborah S. Nelson, Author/Publisher VRTG
Some people are in love with the tropics. Some people love the snow. And some people love lakes. If you find your heart drawn to water, what better place to visit than the “Best Recreation Lake in the United States”? Both USA Today and 10 Best Readers voted that award for Lake of the Ozarks. This lake is Missouri’s largest lake destination, with shorelines stretching across 1,150 total miles, concluding in a total of 54,000 acres of water. One might as well bathe in the abundance of possible water activities.
The Lake’s premier vacation rental company lives up to great expectations. If renting next to the water is desirable, then over 100 rental properties are available and hosted by Your Lake Vacation. But this vacation rental company jazzes it up. Rent on the water, surrounded by even more water in pools and boat docks. Waterfront homes and condos offer a range of accommodations. Each property is fully furnished with top-notch amenities. While bedrooms range from one to over five, these homes are great for solo trips, or romantic trips with your partner, family, or group get-togethers. If your group is quite large, you may rent multiple condos near each other. Your Lake Vacation is here to make your lake vacation one of the greatest you have ever had.

Life on the Lake
The Lake of the Ozarks is one of the largest man-made lakes in the United States. It is doubtful you will have a shortage of water activities. Swim, fish, sail, or paddle board. Rent or bring your own boat and drift away. Although, the land will not be boring either. You are bound to find something memorable to do in this spot filled with three state parks, twelve golf courses, mini-golf, and go karts.
If you visit during a festival month, you will enjoy even more entertainment options. June hosts the powerboat Lake Race while in July dances around at Aquapalooza, the largest water concert in the area. August, on the other hand, has the Annual Lake of the Ozarks Shootout. Other festivities are scheduled for Memorial Day Weekend, Fourth of July and Labor Day Weekends. It is probably easiest to contact Your Lake Vacation and let them plan everything for you.
Last, but not least, food must be mentioned. Lake of the Ozarks offers plenty of great restaurants and bars, both on the water and off the water with various cuisines. Grab a burger as you make a stop on your sailing trip or sit down for some excellent wine from the local vineyards. Make a splash and have fun!
